i wish you were a floral garden

We're just gonna act like I've been here all along, updating. But, I'm here to vent, once again. Still, I'm also the bringer of good news, there's always the bad news too, depending on how you want to look at it, or think of it. Let's get out the good news first! (News is news, doesn't matter which order it's in!) I've got my surgical internship with oncologist Dr. Bert M. Petersen at St. Barnabas hospital! I'm so excited. I just have to do a crapload of paperwork and then I can start. Can you believe it?! Yeah, I know, I can't either!

Moving on, I've started the procedure for braces. Technically that's not such a good thing. Everything from the teeth pulling to the ring fitting has had me on edge over the past couple weeks and I just want to chuck a knife through someone's head any time they mention teeth and the word braces. I don't like being unable to eat what I want, when I want, and how I want. Needless to say, I've been popping pills like a junkie :D It's the best part of the day when I can tell the professor I've slept in his class because I overdosed on prescription pills ... just a tiny bit. I'm not suicidal, though you might think so.

What other good news is there? I've started college at Hunter this fall, but this should be categorized as BAD things that have happened to me recently. A question that I ask myself every day- it's become as much of a ritual as saying the word "dipshit," is: "Why is the American poverty level so low & how is it fair that the people who need the money & recieve no assistance, who have houses with mortgages to pay for, are the ones responsible for paying full tuition?!" (and other unholy things). I want to be president... Who lives off of $20,000 a year!? No one, that's who!

Some other things you might not care about: I've lost the anklet posted in the very last picture (which had sentimental value, mind you). My BABY! (referring to my darling camera) is in the hospital undergoing surgery, hence the lack of posting. I've lost two tubes of Blistex- does anyone know how expensive that tiny ass jar of gloss costs?! I've misplaced my BABY's USB cord, so I must buy a new one. School has made my young adult boobs sag from undue stress.

anyway, good luck for your internship, and yes.. the feeling in the earlier days of using braces is not a good thing at all, but time will pass and you'll eventually feel better. :)
