FOOD=BEAUTY.

"This is going to sound real corny and maybe a bit dick-ish…I’ve been coming across a lot of “skinny” blogs. These blogs range from people with goals to be skinny.. to blog’s that inspire people to be skinny by telling them how ugly they are and how sick it makes people..This is the type of bullshit that people are worried about? Be grateful for the flaws you have as a person and an individual. This reminds you that there is always room to grow and develop and advance as a person. Life would be boring and uneventful for those who are perfect..Beauty is an experience, nothing else. It is not a fixed pattern or an arrangement of features. It is something felt, a glow or a communicated sense of fineness. What ails us is that our sense of beauty is so bruised and blunted, we miss all the best..90% of the people that obsess over being “skinny” will never see or meet the goal they plan to because its all their head…and if they do, i bet the debt of things lost will be one that can never be paid off..Anyone can be beautiful, who gives a fuck if everyone sees it..Worry about the people that do and the ones that appreciate it." - EINKARF

i hate 'thinspo' blogs. not so much on blogger but i come across a lot of them on tumblr. it's kind of sad because most of these girls who plan on loosing a lot of weigh look healthy already.

anyway, i like the photo of you eating! you look like you are enjoying that! and you look happy!

ahhhhhhhhhhhh..... grrrrrrrrakami!!!! I love you!!!

...oh I just find this world a silly place... this need to gain sadistic mastery over our bodies... by making food a pressure instead of pleasure we give it demonic properties...
The only demons we have are inside ourselves.

Who is Einkarf?

I am totally with you! Food is a joy of life and we have to enjoy it. Not everybody is meant to be skinny, some women are curvy (men love us more!)

when i used to feel quite low i would seek out thinspo blogs, but things never got too bad to actually starve myself.

i wish people would accept their flaws too, but tbh i thinks most people have a little voice in the back of their head that they could look better.

What a great message and post. Glad you did this. If we had more of you, and more of your messages we'd be a hell-of-a-lot happier. Ty. xoxo

Well said, girl! I think our society suffers from a lack of love, beginning with a lack of self-love. True beauty is never an external quality. And we will never be thin enough (or pretty enough or anything outwardly enough) if we don't see the beauty that lies within us. Lovely pictures!!

Just stumbled on your blog! AND GAH. I'm so glad you did. This is such a fantastic post you have. It's ridiculously accurate. It's sad how the media saturates our mind into labeling what "beautiful" is. The truth is, beauty is such a wide concept that varies for everyone - or SHOULD vary for everyone.

Faaabulous. Thank you.

uh-huh. the blogs who are really rants-oriented about 'god i'm so fat' are really annoying. i'd rather seeing people with healthier sizes, they make me really happy and normal.
great, strong quotation, too. i agree that everybody can be beautiful, and we shouldn't care whether people notice it or not.
for me, a big brain means an ultimate beauty. those blogs should focus more on how to make living worthwhile than ranting about bodies.
the shallowness of rants like that really surprise me.

thanks for this great post, love. you're always such an inspiration :)
